Kristen Chambers APHAA President

Kristen is the CAO of The Evergreens Foundation, a non-profit housing management body that has been providing affordable housing options to seniors, individuals and families for over fifty years. With its head office in Hinton, The Evergreens Foundation provides support to the surrounding communities of Hinton, Edson, Jasper, Grande Cache, and Evansburg.

Stacey Stilling Vice-President

Stacey is the Chief Administrative Officer for Mountain View Seniors’ Housing (MVSH) which has been providing services to seniors, families and individuals for over 6 decades. MVSH provides housing options to over 500 people within the central Alberta region. Stacey has been in the seniors housing and care industry for over 20 years and is passionate to ensure residents have the supports they need to live active, healthy lives.

Jillanne Bowler-Veltman Treasurer

Jillanne is the Director of Business Administration and Human Resources at Right at Home Housing Society. The Society provides a positive alternative for Edmontonians currently without a home, living in substandard accommodation, or spending a disproportionate amount of their income on housing. Right at Home offers a range of supportive services for its residents, including work placement opportunities to develop various skill sets.

Tammy Menssa Director at Large

With over 14 years of experience in seniors and community housing, Tammy Menssa currently serves as Executive Director of the North Peace Housing Foundation, leading with a focus on operational excellence and compassionate service delivery. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, she is passionate about creating sustainable, community-focused housing solutions that promote stability and well-being.

Lisa Murray Director at Large

Lisa Murray has dedicated her career to leadership, service, and supporting communities. After beginning her career in her family's business and later working in home staging, she pursued Recreation Therapy with a passion for enriching the lives of seniors. She joined ESG Housing as Housing Manager and, over the past five years, has helped guide the organization's significant growth. Now serving as Executive Director, Lisa is focused on innovation, sustainability, and ensuring quality housing and support for seniors well into the future.

David Paré Director at Large

David Paré is the Director of Operations at Heartland Housing Foundation, bringing more than 30 years of leadership and operational experience. He has supported the opening of major affordable housing and seniors’ lodge developments and is a certified Outward Performance facilitator through the Arbinger Institute. As an APHAA Member at Large, David brings a practical focus on operational excellence, team development, continuous improvement, and collaboration across Alberta’s affordable housing sector.

Olivia Chubey Director at Large

Olivia Chubey is the Chief Operations Officer & Executive Vice President of Service Innovation at Silvera, has more than 26 years of leadership experience in seniors housing, continuing care, and human services. She leads Silvera's Age in Place strategy, supporting more than 2,400 older adults through innovative housing solutions and strong community partnerships.

Tyler Batdorf Director at Large

Tyler Batdorf is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Barrhead & District Social Housing Association and brings 16 years of experience in the housing sector. Having advanced from facilities management into executive leadership, he offers expertise in housing operations, asset management, and organizational leadership. Tyler is passionate about collaboration, continuous improvement, and strengthening Alberta's social and affordable housing sector through people-focused leadership.

Lauren Ingalls Director at Large

Lauren Ingalls has worked in the seniors and social housing sector since 1993, serving as Executive Director with multiple agencies and overseeing a wide range of housing programs across Alberta. With a background in economic development and a Bachelor of Commerce, she remains active in the field through leadership roles, committee work, and presentations on governance and sector development.

Our Committees

There are three Member Committees constituted by APHAA’s bylaws. When needed, the Executive can establish Ad-Hoc Committees to work on specific priorities or emerging issues.

Committee Members are selected to ensure representation from a cross section of our Membership. The Chair of each committee acts as a liason between the Executive and other Committees.
